Dear Deepak,
 
I can understand your feelings that your also a employee of Airtel but the fact is fact. give me some E-mail id or customer care number so that we can lodge a complaint against these cheatings or inform to Chairman.
 
One thing is clear, if some franchise is taking and running Airtel.........they are totally blind and they are not taking proper response.
 
i am working near a Airtel office........and observing daily  how the customer is facing the problems........and shouting.........upon the Staff of Airtel.
 
I dont have any view or any competition with your company, to put remarks on your company. But the fact is fact. Where Airtel call rate is much more higher rate then BSNL, IDEA, Tata Indicom.
 
If you want to Help.........to .........the people......with these type of .........problems.......you can do one thing.........give some good services........with proper customer support and take care of custmer probelms and maintain some complaint sites........so that it can help to all the peoples.

Everyday, Mobile operators send many promotional SMS's to promote or popularize value added services in their regions.
The Case is not with any specific mobile operators. I see numerous cases everyday of wrong charging done or else.
 
For Airtel Hello Tune, The Charging SMS can only comes to your account if u will subscribe to the Hello Tune. If Still you have recd the Charging SMS without your knowledge, then firstly, pls check who has subscribed you and with which mode(*678#, IVR, Song Cactcher, * to copy, Web & thru SMS. After knowing the mode of subscription, u can get it refunded by making a request to the concerned call center team. They will escalate the issue to us(Bharti Telesoft Ltd) for knowing the reason of charging. Afterwards, the amount can be refunded if the case seems to be genuine.
 
As many fake customers or complains also comes to the CC for refund where user has itself made 2-3 transaction resulted in double charging and then start debating and shouting and spread rumors about the concerned operators.
 
Telecom Market is very competitive in India. So, Customers critics and raised issues only can bring the quality services.
 
So Please be alert and careful, and handle or escalate the issues up to the level you can.

I am not agreed in your opinion that  Airtel is not cheating to customer........simply once sms is coming to our mobile if your open that sms it will automatically subcribe the hello tune for you and deduct the amount from your balance amount. and many more........you can't count in your finger tips.........

Without your permit, no one can make any change in your mobile connection. So, as said by Vasanth in the trailing mail, Pls don't accept any things until you feel comfy with their schemes or services.
 
If anyone has suffered or felt as cheated by telecom operator's then you can escalate the issue to the concerned circle VAS manager for resolution.
 
Aside for Renu: Dear, If you has been charged for Hello Tune without informing you or become the subscriber. Then its your fault, as you haven't escalated the issue. Because it can be easily identified that via which medium you got subscribed or in case if its really by mistakenly then you can claim or get refund for the amount deducted from your account.
 
So, please fight for your right and don't seat idle in case you are cheated by someone.
