hi im subair here from dubai. its awrong information that you send to Mr.Nair. Left hand drive vehicles is not permitted in india and also they have a process of homologation which that depends on the vehicle. we can import only the vehicles which only above 3000 cc and also it cost 90% of duty for second hand vehicle and 100% for new one.and also in kerala 1 used car dealer is used to do all these procedure named chirayath cars. better u have 2 contact that agent too.

Yes, it is possible to import car fromGulf to India,but not for trading purposes. it should be for yr own use only. you should have been the owner of same and should have been with you for some time (i.e. Registration certificate of car should have been in your own name). forfurther detaisl,I woodlsuggest you contact any Customs House Agents, who will brief you much more in the subject.(various paper worktobe done etc.) Whilst on the subject, why should you go in for imported ones, when equally good cars are available in India at a much better price ?? Left hand driving ispermitted in India.
