Renal(Kidney)problems are very common in the gulf
expat communities irrespective of the country from you
are coming.
If you are complaining of acute/subacute pain on both
sides of your spinal column, irritation while passing
urine,unable to pass urine completely, radiating pain
from ur bladder area upwards/downwards from your
kidney area, then, better you consult a urologist.
Ist thing a urologist is going to do is advicing you
for an Ultra sound scan for KUB region and urine test
for cristals. If you have swelling all over the body,
and if you drink lots of water or any fluid intake you
are doing more harm to your kidneys because it may
cause kidney failure.
If the lab result/U/s scan result show cristals/
calculus in ur KUB region, then according to the size
and location of the calculus(stone) Urologist would
take the next action of treatment whether in terms of
medicine or endoscopic/Lithro.
If there is a stone in the KUB region, and you don't
have any other kidney problem, taking a lots of water
would be helpful to flush out the stone through your
urine.
