OBSERVATIONS:
Its evident from the results of 18th Feb general Elections:
1. That the majority of 170 million People of Pakistan has voted
against poverty, violence & extremism, against assassins of Mohtarma Benazir
Bhutto & illegal disappearances & have voted for the Restoration of
Judiciary, Independent Foreign Policy, Genuine Modernizations and
Provincial Autonomy.
2. That the people of Pakistan do not believe in extremism and
violence.
3. That in presence of naked terror of opponents the daring sprit &
heavy turnout of Sindhi & Baloch voters in Karachi have proved that Karachi
belongs to sons of soil and the days of terrorism are numbered.
4. That ANP & PPP have obtained the simple majority (50 out of 99) in
NWFP Assembly and both can jointly form the Provincial Govt. In this regard
ANP has very boldly announced that they are ready to join hands with those
who are ready to change the name of NWFP and who are against Kalabagh Dam &
Bomb Blast.
5. That PPP has obtained more than simple majority (69 out of 130) in
Sindh Assembly and can form the Provincial Govt and it doesn't need to
follow the instructions of General Musharaf with regard to formation of
Sindh Govt.
6. That Muslim League Nawaz & Pakistan Peoples Party have obtained more
than simple majority (186 out of 297) in Punjab Assembly and both can
jointly form the Provincial Govt.
7. That under article 91(2) of the Constitution the President shall in
his discretion appoint from amongst the members of the National Assembly a
Prime Minister who is most likely to command the confidence of the majority
of the MNAs and/or under Art. 91 (2A) the President is bound to invite the
member of the National Assembly to be the Prime Minister who commands the
confidence of the majority of MNAs, as ascertained in a session of the
Assembly summoned for the purpose and under Art. 91 (3) the person appointed
under above clauses shall within a period of 60 days thereof obtain a vote
of confidence from the National Assembly.
8. Therefore PPP needs 135 MNAs (out of 268) to form the Federal Govt
and if it joins hands with ML-N it can form the Govt very conveniently
otherwise the option of forming the Central Govt with ANP and Independents
is also open for them.
9. That Mr. Musharaf will try his best to force the PPP to form the
Govts with MQM and ML-Q.
10. That ML-N will have to prove that they are genuinely committed to the
restoration of Chief Justice Iftikahr Chodhri and other Judges and to
elimination of the role of Generals in Politics.
11. That the People of Balochistan have welcomed the stand of Shaheed
Benazir Bhutto against the operation in Balochistan.
12. That now the PPP will have to prove that it will respect the
unconditional love of the people of Sindh and Pakistan, it will reverse all
undemocratic and anti-people decisions and policies of the previous Govts of
ML-Q and MQM, it will oppose Kala Bagh Dam and will stop the construction of
Thal Canal and will provide genuine provincial autonomy to small provinces.
13. That the results of 2002 elections and the bogus victories of ML-Q, ML-F
and MMA were engineered by Generals and Establishment.
14. That the very low turnout (less than 25%) of voters has proved that 75 %
of the general population has realized that the exiting system of patronized
governance can not solve the major problems.
Awaiting your comments.
