Hi spark,
I have a real big confusion on these architectures. Need clarification from you.
We have a SLES10 machine. When I do "uname -a" it displays the following information along with other info.
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux. Now I am really confused whether this is a x86_64 bit machine or a x86_32 bit machine.
i686 and i386 are nothing but x86 series (that is what my understanding is). Please tell me if I am wrong.
Thanx

Note : Avoid forwarding forwarded emails. Whenever you intend to send
forwarded messages to the group please do ensure to delete all the email addresses and the forwarded symbol '>'. The best way to FORWARD a message is to copy and paste the message alone, to your new email and insert the attachment if any. This will reduce the amount of bytes received, time spend for receiving the emails and the members can view your postings by simply opening one email, which is the most important thing.
