You have very rightly pointed out how the Malayali of today has deteriorated to a mere agitationist and destroyer of public peace and property.

 

The headload workers continue to be headload workers since two generations, supported by Minister Gurudasan and assaulting the public who do not pay them even if they do not work. Have you ever heard of "nokkukooli" or paid just for looking at goods unloaded by others? Even a former Cheif Secretary was not spared on his transfer from Delhi- the first extortion by Walayar checkpost staff even when told of household goods of CS on transfer, and later at TVM.

 

Agricultural production had reduced to below 45% of what it was in 1950-s before Communists came to power. Farmers leave their lands barren as there are no workers available. If workers from Tamilnadu are brought to work, the CPM cadres attack the owner and plant the flag there. Recently paddy crop ready for harvest in Kuttanad area, could not be harvested for want of permission from CPM cadres to allow workers from TN to be brought. CPM said only their members should be used. Days passed, rain came and the crops unharvested started sprouting!!

 

There are no industries in Kerala and even those started during the preindependence days by CP like TCC, FACT, Titanium or Rayons are all practically closed.

 

Kuttanad Muricken was deprived of the Central Travancore bowl of Paddy cultivation and the entire land is full of weeds, breeding snakes and mosquito-s and no cultivation by the farmers who got the land, who take loans every year, drink liquor and then agitate to write off loans!! When the next generation Murickens offered to regenerate the cultivation as their father did, Govt. does not allow them and blame Centre for not sending Rice to Kerala.

 

Coconut cultivation too is in doldrums. Copra procurement loans given by Centre was utilised to bring Copra from Tamilnadu and local procurement was only a fraction. The Kerala Soaps and Oils Factory has closed down, as well as several hundred handloom/ powerlooms in Malabar.

 

Ministers of both UDF and LDF are busy cornering land since 1970-s, be it KM Mani and group of forest lands or CPI/CPM of the Govt. lands elsewhere. CM of Kerala could not continue illegal occupation of forest lands at Munnar or tata groups due to opposition from his won party. CPI unions are paid heftily by TATA to keep away labour troubles and CPI runs a hotel cum their office at Munnar, donated by Tata-s!!

 

Daily life in Kerala is disturbed by Bandh-s, Hartal-s and strikes with violent destruction of public property. Stabbings and killings of intra-party and inter rivalry between parties is on the rise. Home Minister declared that over Rs.1000 Crores fake/illegal cureency has passed through Kerala. Mostly from Pakistan and Gulf!!

 

Ganeshkumar, the former Minister stated in the TV today that the entire Kerala population are posoned to killing and violence. Only future generations are the hope and let us try for that

ആരെയും വേദനിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടി എഴുതിയതല്ല...എന്റെ മനസ്സില്‍ തോന്നിയ വിഷമം എഴുതിയെന്നു മാത്രം..
